Friday April 21st saw me winging my way to Brisbane in search of the Avid Reader Bookshop and my fabulous editor Josie Dietrich. The much anticipated launch of her memoir ‘In Danger’ did not disappoint, with Australian author Susan Johnson hosting.
“‘In Danger’ is much more than a breast cancer memoir – though it covers that territory eloquently and courageously. It is also an insightful meditation on the push and pull of mother-daughter relationships, on what we inherit through blood and example.”
Kristina Olsson.
Her launch was a varied mix of people from Josie’s life and fans (like me) of her story. It was a privilege to meet Josie and support her on this new journey. In usual spectacular fashion, the universe has aligned this beautiful soul with a message for a friend similarly diagnosed – ‘you are not alone’. Below Josie is signing her book.
The Avid Reader Bookstore in Brisbane – what a venue. I loved perusing the shelves and was lucky enough to meet some lovely people (as you do in bookstores).
Thank you Josie.
